GEM is a free, desktop computer application that estimates the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and fuel efficiency performance of specific aspects of heavy-duty (HD) vehicles. GEM is designed to operate on a single computer. GEM is also a very tricky and at times “buggy” simulation tool.

“The importance of running a successful GEM simulation, whether for samples or full certification input/output needs is critical. Unfortunately the GEM system is not that easy to navigate,” mentioned ECO, Inc.
