GEM is a free, desktop computer application that estimates the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and fuel efficiency performance of specific aspects of heavy-duty (HD) vehicles. GEM is designed to operate on a single computer. GEM is also a very tricky and at times “buggy” simulation tool.

“The importance of running a successful GEM simulation, whether for samples or full certification input/output needs is critical. Unfortunately the GEM system is not that easy to navigate,” mentioned ECO, Inc. CEO Josh Pietak. “We realized the importance of this phase of certification, saw its complexities and figured there’s folks out there right now struggling with this, why not let them know we’re available to help.”

To help alleviate the stress that can come with producing proper reporting from the GEM system ECO Inc. is offering a free consultation to anyone who’s job responsibility it is to generate such reports for certification needs but is failing to reach success.

“We’ve actually be acting as beta testers for the GEM reporting tool, finding bugs and helping improve the versions. That’s how deep we are into this,” according to ECO Inc. Chief Operations Officer Mark Celio. He goes to state “we have a solid handle on GEM versions 2.0, 3.0, 3.5.1, and 3.8. We can help you to accomplish all your GHG regulatory compliance needs including; certification, production volume reporting, ABT reporting, exempted off-road vehicle reports etc.”
